ZeroMission Secures €2.8m for EV Fleet Management

ZeroMission, a firm based in Tipperary, has secured $3 million (£2.8 million) in funding to expand its vehicle fleet management platform and broaden its European and American market presence, aiming to increase the uptake of electric vehicles. This funding round saw contributions from early-stage Irish start-up investor Delta Partners and Greencode, a pan-European venture capital company, alongside Vireo and several angel investors. This financial injection will be utilised to accelerate product development and enlarge ZeroMission’s commercial influence.

In an effort to cater for the increasing need for fleet decarbonisation, as businesses and nations alike are pushed to cut emissions to align with their environmental objectives, ZeroMission is poised to fill this gap. The company, conceptualised by Leah O’Dwyer and Kevin Christopher in 2022, provides fleet operators with a software that assists in the transition to electric vehicles. Its comprehensive software platform ensures the efficient allocation and management of EVs on a large scale, offering real-time information on vehicles and charging points through a single sign-on feature, aiding companies to minimise energy consumption and expenses.

Amy Neale, a general partner at Delta Partners, lauded ZeroMission for developing the most inclusive and integrated EV operating system for commercial fleets based on genuine industry insights and reach. She voiced Delta’s excitement to partner with ZeroMission in addressing this pressing industry demand.

ZeroMission’s platform is presently utilised by transit bus operators in California and several US tech firms providing electric vehicle commuter services. The firm is now set on bolstering its presence in these markets and pushing into Europe.

ZeroMission’s CEO, Leah O’Dwyer, explained that clients utilise ZeroMission as a single platform in transitioning to electric vehicles. Despite the majority of current fleet operators intending to continue electrifying their fleets, over 80% are hindered by a lack of integrated systems to manage daily operations and intelligent tools for planning and transitioning their fleets. O’Dwyer pointed out that ZeroMission provides these crucial elements to their customers, and the recent funding announcement will enable a considerable expansion of their client base.
