Zero Motorcycles launches Zero S electric road version

After months of expectation, Zero Motorcycles has revealed its new Zero S model for some electric motorcycle fun.
The supermotard has no CO2 emissions and is the sister model to the offroad Zero X, from which it borrows the motor and running system.
The Zero S has characteristic front and rear lights, indicators and mirrors, which all make this a suitable road motorcycle.

New disc brakes and sports tyres have been included, and figures from the 31 hp, 84 Nm engine are a top speed of 96 km/hr and a range of 97 km.
The 4 Kw lithium ion battery can be recharged anywhere in four hours, thanks to the integrated recharger.
The alluminium chassis, which is not only impressive to look at, puts the Zero S squarely in the feather weight class at only 102 kg.
Sales will start from May this year in the US at a price of 9,950 USD.
For the US market, delivery costs are 500 USD, but for overseas orders the cost will be significantly higher.
Below is the presentation of the Zero S, with the electric whisper that we’re getting used to hearing.

It looks fast and reactive, though, and it will be interesting to see this on the road.
