Yuno Group Acquires Firmus Energy from North

Yuno Group, a leading electricity and gas supplier in the Republic, has acquired Firmus Energy’s gas supply division in Northern Ireland. The transaction, believed to be worth approximately €40 million, marks Yuno Group’s inaugural business venture outside its home territory. The exact consideration was not publicly disclosed, but insiders estimate the Firmus Energy business was sold for a sum close to €40 million. Firmus Energy is Northern Ireland’s largest natural gas provider, catering to 113,000 households and businesses. Yuno’s Founder and CEO, Cathal Fay, called the acquisition a “game-changer”, as it swelled the customer base by a third while revealing new avenues for expansion. He expressed confidence that Firmus Energy’s robust infrastructure would contribute significantly to the overall growth of their business. The Yuno and Prepay Power businesses in the Republic are owned by the Dublin-based institution.
