With lap times tumbling as tempertures went up and more rubber laid down at the Portimao track, it was reigning British Supersport champion Sam Lowes, who debuted with Parkalgar Honda World Supersport team in the Sunflower Trophy last October, who topped the chart in this afternoon’s session of WSS testing, edging out this morning’s fastest rider David Salom, Other Kawasaki rider Broc Parkes took third, while returning to the Hannspree Ten Kate’s fold after nine years Fabien Foret, was 4th.
Chaz Davies, took fifth on the ParkinGO Yamaha, with Gino Rea in 6th.
James Ellison of the new Bogdanka Honda team was 7th.
Luca Scassa, Florian Marino and Miguel Praia closed out the top ten.
