WSBK Silverstone: Jonathan Rea Fastest in QP2, Crutchlow Fastest Overall

On the damp track of Silverstone after last night’s and this morning rain showers, Cal Crutchlow with his combined lap times continued to lead, even if Jonathan Rea who was the fastest rider in this morning’s Q2 session with a best lap of 2.

Behind Rea were BMW’s Troy Corser with a 0.

221s gap from the Ten Kate Honda rider, Lorenzo Lanzi and Ruben Xaus who despite a good session ended up 16th overall.
From fifth to the eighth spot was a Ducati domain with Shane Byrne in fifth, Noriyuki Haga took sixth, Carlos Checa in seventh and Michel Fabrizio was eighth.
The ninth spot went to Czech rider Jakub Smrz on his second official outing with the Aprilia RSV4 and Joshua Brookes closed out the top ten and with this morning’s best run was able to qualify 19th for the Superpole session.
Out of this afternoon’s Superpole are Ryuichi Kiyonari, Roger Lee Hayden, Matteo Baiocco, Tommy Bridewell and Akira Yanagawa.
