WSBK Assen QP2 : Troy Corser on Top for the First Time

Troy Corser topped the time charts in this morning’s qualifying practice 2 at Assen.
Mr.
Croccodile was the first rider to go under the 1.
36 mark with a best lap of 1′35.
621 to take provisional pole heading into this afternoon’s Superpole session.
Jakub Smrz continues to show great form on the Dutch circuit taking the second spot and the only other rider to go below 1′36 barrier.

Jonathan Rea was third with almost a six tenths of a second gap from Corser’s lap.
Althea’s Ducati Carlos Checa took the fourth spot followed by an excellent Leon Camier on the Aprilia who was eleven spots ahead of team mate Max Biaggi.
Leon Haslam was sixth, but according to his team manager Francesco Batta Haslam’s Suzuki has some braking problems that have yet to be solved.
The first factory Ducati was Noriyuki Haga in seventh.
The Japanese rider is trying to come to grips with the modified circuit.
Haga was closely followed by Shane Byrne and Cal Crutchlow, whose team mate James Toseland was down in a lowly 17th position.
Michel Fabrizio closed out the top ten.

Out of this afternoon’s Superpole are Matteo Baiocco and Roger Hayden.
