WSBK and Superstock Ducati team Roma tests at Vallelunga

Ducati Team Roma was at the Italian circuit of Vallelunga last Saturday for another private test after their previous one at Misano to prepare for their 2012 debut season in World Superbikes.
Fortunately the weather held up and Niccolò Canepa was able to work on the electronics of his Ducati 1198, the team also debuted their new Superstock 1000 FIM Cup rider, 22-year old Andrzej Chmielewski.

Niccolò Canepa: “Unfortunately we didn’t have that much time at our disposal and in the afternoon there were many other bikes on the track and I couldn’t push as much as I wanted too.
I still took advantage of the day to work on suspensions and on the electronics of my Ducati, continuing the work we started at Misano.
Certainly we have to do other tests to do in order to be ready for the start of the World Superbike season and I know that the team is working on that.
I’m working well with my team and our Ducati is improving performance wise.
I’d like thank all the fans and sponsors who joined us at Vallelunga and we will do our best not to disappoint them.

“Andrzej Chmielewski: “It was my first time with Ducati Rome and with my new bike.
I am very pleased and honored to become part of this team that has already shown great professionalism and competence.
I was out of racing for two years and then I will certainly need other practice sessions to get back in shape.
My Ducati is very powerful and fantastic to rider .
I’m sure we’ll have a lot of fun next year in Superstock and I’d like to thank Andrea Petricca for giving me this great opportunity.
