The Church of Ireland’s St Patrick’s Cathedral in Armagh announces its service schedule and opening hours. There will be services at 10am, 11am and 3:15pm on Mothering Sunday, the 10th of March, including Holy Communion, Sung Eucharist, and Choral Evensong correspondingly. Additionally, Morning Prayer will be held Monday to Saturday at 9:30am. On Wednesdays, Saints and Holy Days, Holy Communion takes place at 9:30am. Visitors can visit the cathedral between 9am to 4pm during the months of November to March, and until 5pm from April to October. Group excursions need to be scheduled in advance with the Cathedral Steward. All are invited to participate in the services or to simply spend time admiring the splendid architecture or in peaceful contemplation. The Cathedral Church of St. Anne, aka Belfast Cathedral, performances Choral Eucharist at 11am and Choral Evensong at 3:30 each Sunday and accommodates afternoon prayers from 1pm-1:15pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Each Friday, there is a special Healing Ministry service held at 1pm in the Cathedral Hall. The Cathedral welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm, closing during services to non-worshipers. St Finn Barre’s Cathedral, located in Cork City, is open for public worship every Sunday with services at 11:15am (Choral Eucharist) and 3:30pm (Choral Evensong). In addition to in-person services, occasional worship is still available digitally. Services are held from Monday to Saturday at 12 noon (Said Eucharist). The Cathedral also allows visitors from Monday to Saturday, between 10am and 1pm, and again from 2pm till 5:30pm. St Columb’s Cathedral in Derry/Londonderry holds various Sunday services, including Holy Communion at 8am, and Choral Eucharist at 11am on alternating Sundays, with Coral Matins on the remaining Sundays. The Daily Office is held at 10.30am during specific weekdays in The Baptistery. The Bishop William Alexander Chapel is where the Eucharist is celebrated on Tuesdays at 10.30am. Located in Downpatrick, the Down Cathedral – Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity holds services including Mothering Sunday at 11:30am and Holy Communion every Thursday at 10am. The Evening Prayer service is held from Monday to Friday at 5pm. It welcomes visitors from Monday to Saturday, between 10:00am and 4:30pm, and on Sundays between 1pm and 4pm. As it’s situated a short stroll from Downpatrick town centre and next to The Saint Patrick Centre, it attracts local and international visitors. Down Cathedral is primarily a site for prayer and worship serving not only local and Church of Ireland Diocese members, but believers from across the globe. Enniskillen’s St Macartin’s Cathedral in County Fermanagh celebrates Mothering Sunday on 10th March with services held at 9am and 11am. The cathedral follows a routine of conducting Holy Communion on the 1st and 3rd Sundays and Morning Prayers on 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays. The Family Service is organized on the 4th Sunday. Weekday services including Holy Communion are scheduled at 11am on Thursdays with special services as declared. The cathedral is led by The Very Reverend Kenneth R J Hall, the Dean. In Limerick City, St Mary’s Cathedral holds a Service of Worship at 11:15am. It observes Holy Communion on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, and Morning Prayer on the 2nd and 4th Sundays. Morning Prayer is also conducted every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 9am, and on Tuesdays at 10:30am. Moreover, a Holy Communion service is arranged on Thursday mornings at 10:30am. On the fourth Sunday in Lent, commonly known as Mothering Sunday, the National Cathedral of The Church of Ireland invites you to join in numerous religious services. The day begins at 9.15 with Eucharist, spoken in the Lady Chapel. Following this, the heartfelt sounds of the Cathedral Choir performing the Choral Eucharist can be encountered at 11.15, where you’ll be able to hear renditions of Haydn’s Little Organ Mass, Rutter’s For the Beauty of the Earth, and Rachmaninov’s Ave Maria. The sermon will be delivered by the Reverend S.E. Doogan, Prebendary of Wicklow. To conclude the day, Choral Evensong, performed by the Lay Vicars Choral, will start at 15.15. St Brigid’s Cathedral in Kildare holds a Sunday service at 11:30am. It is part of the Kildare and Newbridge Union of Parishes, inclusive of the Parishes of Kilmeague and Curragh Garrison Church. This union is associated with the Newbridge Union, which oversees Newbridge town, Athgarvan, Kilcullen and Brannockstown, and caters to three churches: St Patrick’s (Newbridge), St John’s (Kilcullen) and St Patrick’s (Carnalway). The United Parish of St. Nicholas and All Saints at All Saints Church, Belfast offers two services. The traditional service, following the Book of Common Prayer, begins at 10am in the St. Nicholas Church on Lisburn Road. At 11:30am, a contemporary service catering to all ages and backgrounds is held at All Saints Church on Cadogan Park. We also offer a more relaxed, modern service every Sunday evening at 7:30pm at the ASC UniChurch, located on University Street, followed by a social period with tea and coffee. In Co. Wexford, the Ardamine Group of Parishes offers Mothering Sunday services on 10th March at Monamolin (9 am. Morning Prayer), Kiltennel (10.15 am. Holy Communion), and Kilnamanagh (11.45 am. Morning Prayer).
The Bailieborough Group of Parishes in Co. Cavan holds services at 9:30am both at Shercock and at Mullagh on Sundays. The service at Mullagh also includes a Sunday club. There is also a service and Sunday club at Bailieborough at 10:45am with a final service at Knockbride at 12 noon. A special united service celebrating the congregation is held at 10:30am on every fifth Sunday of the month, the location of which will be announced later. At Christ Church Bray, a Special Service of Thanksgiving is being held on 10th March, at 11am in honour of Rev. Baden Stanley’s ministry. The service includes presentations and refreshments. The Parish Union of Enniscorthy and Monart in Wexford will hold a Mothering Sunday service on 10th March at St. Pauls Church, Templescobin with Holy Communion at 9:30am, followed by a Morning Prayer at St. Mary’s Church, Enniscorthy at 11:30am. A contemporary worship is scheduled at St. Pauls Church, Clone on Saturday 9th March at 7pm. In addition, a weekly Holy Communion feature is available every Thursday at 10.30am in the Parish Meeting Room located in the Rectory, complimented by refreshments afterwards. In Dublin City, at St Ann’s, Dawson Street, an alternate Matins and Eucharist is conducted every Sunday at 11am with a full choir. The sacristy doors are open to Christians of every denomination and tradition. St. Ann’s church is also open for private prayer and visitors between 11 am and 2 pm, from Wednesday to Friday.
The St Audoen in Cornmarket performs a 9.30 Bellringing and 10.00 Eucharist every Sunday morning, including Hymns and Anglican Chant for Mothering Sunday. Access for visitors is granted on foot through St Audoen’s Park while vehicles can be parked between Francis Street and Christ Church.
On Donore Avenue, St Catherine St James offers a 11.30 Service of the Word for Mothering Sunday. Parking for attendants is arranged in the Churchyard.
In Galway City, St Nicholas Collegiate Church holds their Sunday service at 9am and 11am with Holy Communion and an additional service on Wednesdays at 10.30am. Meanwhile, in Zion Parish Church, the Fourth Sunday in Lent, also known as Mothering Sunday, will be held at 10:30am on 10th March marking the Morning Prayer, followed by Holy Communion 1 at 9am.
Zion Parish Church has organised a series of Holy Week services, commencing on the 24th of March, Palm Sunday, with Holy Communion at 10.30am and 9am. A short reflection and Compline will also be held on Monday and Tuesday at 8pm. Holy Communion will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10.30am, followed by The Eucharist and Stripping of the Altars on Maundy Thursday at 8pm. Evening Prayer will be accompanied by a short reflection on Good Friday, also at 8pm. The Easter Vigil takes place on Holy Saturday at 9pm, and Easter Sunday (which falls on the 31st of March) will see Holy Communion (for all ages) commencing at 10.30am and 9am. The forthcoming Fourth Sunday in Lent, 10th of March, will feature a Morning Prayer at 10.30am and Holy Communion at 9am at Zion Parish Church. All are invited to attend.

In Co Dublin lies the Dún Laoghaire Methodist Church, hosted along Northumberland Avenue. Each Sunday, services are held at 11am and anyone interested can join us. Additionally, the Dundrum Methodist Church, also situated in Co. Dublin, holds Sunday Services twice a day at 10am and 11:30am, highlighted by a delightful arrangement of tea and coffee afterwards. In Monaghan, sermons at Aughnacloy and Ballynanny are observed every 1st and 3rd Sunday at 10.30 am on Dawson Street, Monaghan Town. Meanwhile, on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, the service shifts to Moore Street, Aughnacloy, Co. Tyrone at the same time. Additionally, a routine service is held every Sunday at 12 pm on Ballynanny Road, Ballygawley, Co. Tyrone. Also, there’s a rotational service during the occasional 5th Sunday.
