Woody Allen films new movie in Rome

The next Woody Allen movie will be filmed in Rome, after the famous American director did Match Point in London, Midnight in Paris in the French capital and Vicky Cristina Barcelona in the Spanish city.
The confirmation of the new Woody Allen film from Rome comes as the director is in Italy with his New Orleans Jazz Band.

Italian cinema will be hoping for a small slice of glory and the world famous director could bring more notoriety to filmmaking in Rome after local production movie Manuale d’Amore 3 featured Robert de Niro and Monica Bellucci.
Currently the cast and plot of the new Allen film is top secret, but filming should start in August.
Will we see Carla Bruni appear in a Woody Allen film in Italy? It would be something to gossip about if it happens.
The studios of CinecittĂ will host what is likely to be a big American film after Rome has featured in other big ticket films like Gangs of New York, Angels and Demons, and Barney’s Version, not to mention past greats like Roman Holiday, Ben Hur and Cleopatra.

On Rome, Woody Allen has said: “Every time [filming] it has been like declaring love to certain places and projecting my feelings about the places that have meant the most to me in life.
I hope I can do the same with Rome.
Both my family and I can’t wait to spend a long time in that amazing city.
