Woman Injured in Co Louth Car-Lorry Collision

Following a severe motor accident, a lady in her 50s has been admitted to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, Co Louth for treatment of her critical injuries. The mishap involving a car and a heavy goods vehicle took place on the R173 Dundalk to Carlingford route, near Ballymascanlan around 12:10 pm.

The female, who was at the wheel of the car, was immediately transported to the hospital. Concurrently, the male truck driver in his 40s was brought to the same hospital for a thorough medical check-up, though no additional injuries were recorded.

Police are urging witnesses of this event or anyone possessing video footage of the incident to come forward.
