Woman Arrested for Dublin Drug Seizure

A female in her fifties has been apprehended following a seizure of suspected illicit narcotics valued at around €270,000 during a probe operation in Coolock, a district of Dublin, by the local constabulary. The raid at the premises unfolded on Wednesday afternoon and was precisely initiated by the Coolock District Drugs Unit as an integral part of Operation Tara.

The police confiscated a considerable amount of MDMA, purportedly valued at about €203,400, in addition to cocaine (€24,010), cannabis herb (€21,800), cannabis jellies (€20,000) and cannabis (€4,200). Scales used for weighing and other drugs-related instruments were also impounded during this strike. The seized narcotics are currently scheduled for analysis with Forensic Science Ireland.

The female offender, who was nabbed at the location, was subsequently taken into custody under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 and was held at a police station in Dublin. Post-arrest, she has been charged corresponding to the drugs seizure and is scheduled to present herself before the Criminal Courts of Justice in July. A female representative of the Police shared that probes regarding the situation are still underway.
