Woman Arrested at Harris’ House Protest

A lady in her middle ages has been taken into custody as part of an enquiry into the implied disturbances caused to Taoiseach Simon Harris, after a rally held outside his dwelling in May. A faction of extreme-right demonstrators coordinated a rally against immigration on May 2nd close to the Greystones, Co Wicklow residence where Mr Harris resides with his spouse and two young offspring. Post the unfortunate event, Mr Harris voiced that the homes and families of individuals should be “off-limits”.

Mr Harris stated that it was his children’s bedtime when the group congregated outside his domicile. When queried about his views on the demonstration, he told the press that he doesn’t appreciate referring to such occurrences as protests.

Mr Harris’s domicile has been targeted by protesters numerous times. A picture from the demonstrations shows participants whose faces are hidden, blocking the Taoiseach’s driveway. Although Mr Harris was attending a funeral and wasn’t home, his family was present during the incident.

Police were summoned to the scene and the protesters slowly faded away. No one was apprehended on the spot. As part of the “ongoing investigations into the implied disturbances towards an elected representative on May 2nd”, a woman has been taken into custody at a police station in Co Wicklow under the rules of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, due to purported breaches against the Non-Fatal Offences against the Person Act.

Several members of the same assembly were part of numerous riots in the weeks prior to this incident, including a clash between protesters and the police in Newtownmountkennedy.

In addition, they were seen at a location in Crooksling designated for housing asylum seekers, as well as during a protest outside the residence of Roderic O’Gorman, the Minister for Integration, where banners were draped on the fence. At least one individual from the boycott outside the dwelling of the Taoiseach has been probed by the police for suspected participation in the disturbances in Dublin during November. This includes a specific event where a police vehicle was put to blaze. The team has also held demonstrations outside the residences of individuals linked with supplying commercial services for accommodations for asylum seekers.
