Dear Editor,
I found myself particularly intrigued by the piece penned by Áine Ryan with the title “Ageing with notable panache and more than a little verve” featured in the Wellness section on the 6th of August. However, the true moment one realises their advancing age is not when reading eloquent columns but rather when the till assistant at Woodie’s grants your over-60s discount without as much as raising an eyebrow. That moment indeed, was a veritable wake-up call!
