Dear Editor,
Please let me highlight the correspondence marked 16th October from the non-profit collective, The Wheel. According to it, the number of entities within the sector approximates to 12,000. Considering the Republic’s total population, that implies one organisation accommodates every 425 citizens. Given these figures, the pertinent question arises: are all of these organisations contributing significantly to our community? Isn’t it high time that the Charities Regulator intervenes to streamline and consolidate the sector, ensuring that donations garnered from the public are fully utilised in providing indispensable services?
Yours sincerely,
Paul Keenan,
