Weekend Collision in Co Monaghan Claims Cyclist’s Life

An unfortunate cycling accident in Co Monaghan claimed the life of a man in his 30s last weekend. The mishap took place near Gort an Teannal in Knockatallon, around 1.15 in the early hours of Saturday. After sustaining severe injuries, the victim was rushed to Enniskillen hospital where he passed away on Tuesday evening, as per the gardaí’s official statement released on Thursday. The gardaí have clarified that no other vehicles were involved in the accident.

They are now looking for any witnesses to the incident. They are requesting those who were in the vicinity at the time and might have recorded footage of the event, including dashcam footage, to provide it to the gardaí.
