Met Éireann forecasts indicate that most regions in the country will experience warm weather until the following Tuesday, with temperatures estimated to reach 24 degrees by Monday. Residents in most parts of Leinster should anticipate humid weather conditions.
A mixed bag of weather, with periods of cloudiness and sunshine, is anticipated for the majority of the country, notably in the southern and eastern areas. From Sunday onwards, temperatures are expected to fluctuate between 19 to 24 degrees, accentuated by a light breeze and sporadic showers in the west.
However, it’s predicted that slightly chillier weather will descend on Friday and Saturday, with temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees. Showers can be expected on Friday night, whilst Saturday night is set to be cloudier and may involve light rain.
Weather forecaster for Met Éireann, Deirdre Lowe, commented, “The weather isn’t entirely predictable. Light showers are expected countrywide on Friday. Mostly dry conditions over the weekend, though it may be cloudy in mountainous areas. Sunday will be warm and humid, with temperatures of around 22-23 degrees in Dublin. It’s a great opportunity to visit the beach.”
Increased humidity and sporadic sunshine over the next week will result in the eastern regions of the country experiencing more humidity, dependent on cloud coverage. Owing to the increased humidity and sunny periods, Met Éireann warns that the solar UV index could rise from moderate to high in the coming days. Although heavy rainfall in Dublin is unexpected, intermittent light and patchy weather conditions could occur in the west and southwest.
By the middle of next week, Met Éireann predicts a transition to cooler weather, with Wednesday possibly experiencing heavy rainfall.
