Vyrus Divisione Motori – a small but lively manufacturer from Italy – has unveiled a new limited version of his 984 naked model aptly called ‘Ultimate Edition’, which uses all the advanced technical and stylistic solutions adopted by the standard 984 C3 2V model and comes with the same engine too, which is an air-cooled 992 cc L Twin supplied by Ducati and capable of delivering 90 hp as well as pushing this bike to its 232 km/h (144 mph) of top speed.
The Vyrus 984 Ultimate Edition retains most of the features of the model it is based on, including the sophisticated aluminum swingarms at both front and rear (with the latter that got revised and made more slender), the braking system with 320 mm floating discs at the front and a 210 mm disc at the back, and the 17-inch alloy wheels.
In addition to all that, the ‘Ultimate Edition’ comes with an airbox made of carbon fiber, Ohlins suspension at both ends, magnesium casing and a variety of optional components in carbon fiber and magnesium.
Definitely worth mentioning in that list would be the wheels, the brake discs and several covers, while the exhaust provided by Italian specialist Zard is also mede of carbon fiber.
The diminutive Rimini-based house also offers two special performance kits that, among other things, will provide for an increase in displacement for the engine – to 1100 or 1200 cc – while the Traction Control will also be made available as an optional extra.
More information on this model should be released ahead of the 70th edition of the EICMA in Milan (November 15-18), where the Vyrus 984 Ultimate Edition will soon be premiered.
