Voxan goes electric after Venturi purchase

The Voxan rendering we showed last week could be the forerunner of new designs from the French company since it was acquired by Venturi Automobiles.
Splashing out into the motorcycle market could be a way for Venturi to expand its portfolio, and we’re likely to see plenty of quirky, or just plain weird designs.

The plan is to start developing Voxan electric bikes and to have them ready within about three years.
There could also be a view to racing them, especially with the new TTXGP and other electric racing opportunities.
What is certain though, is that Venturi will take Voxan in a different direction, describing its older bikers as “collector pieces”.
What is interesting, though, is that Venturi could have Voxan create purely electric bikes, playing in a niche market with no views to offering a full range of bikes.
It might not be a bad idea for a company known for its distinctive designs, rather than its mass market appeal.
We’re keen to see what emerges in the future.
