Vodafone’s division in Ireland has announced a commitment to invest €35 million over the next four years, promising to generate 120 job roles and boost its digital services for companies. Initially, it plans to establish 70 of these postings by the end of the current year, with investment slated at €16 million.
The roles will enhance the business unit, digital functions, digital sales, product management, client care and the network and solutions departments. This milestone will enable Vodafone to enhance its range of services, which include managed services, software as a service, cybersecurity, networking and cloud technologies and software defined wide area networks, all critical in an increasingly digitalised business world.
Vodafone Business’ managing director in Ireland, Sinéad Bryan, commented that the growth ties in with their objective to broaden its variety of ICT solutions. She noted that the move symbolises a pivotal transformation for Vodafone Business as it adapts to the evolving needs of its customers and diverse solutions. She stressed their dedication to spurring the growth of enterprises, spearheading digital change and enhancing data security and efficient technology solutions.
This investment follows Vodafone’s previous expenditure of €300 million over the past three years on its network, with a planned further investment of €500 million on the horizon.
The plans have been applauded by Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Simon Coveney, who acknowledged the critical role of digitisation in business growth, especially for small to medium enterprises (SMEs).
