Views from Lake Como: Villa Carlotta and Bellagio

The grounds of Lake Como’s Villa Carlotta are like a secret garden nestling on the shores of the lake, and looking across to stunning scenery of Bellagio and the Resegone mountains beyond.
Villa Carlotta is located at Tremezzo on the Western side of Lake Como and can easily be reached by car, or ferry, disembarking at the dedicated Villa Carlotta stop.

Here are a few shots of the villa and its views that I took on a recent visit and that I hope you’ll enjoy.
The villa itself is worth looking inside to see the sculptures and other artworks around – you may even want to consider a tour.
Otherwise you can explore the wonderful grounds and if you go in the Italian spring, like I did, you’ll be lucky enough to see the azaleas and rhododendrons in bloom.
