Valentino Rossi to race in the 2012 Monza rally

Valentino Rossi will be back on four wheels after taking part in the 5th round of the Blancpain Endurance race at Nurburgring last month (where he Alessio “Uccio” Salucci and Andrea Ceccato finished 19th overall and 9th in the Pro-Am class), to take part in the 2012 edition of the Monza Rally Show.

This year’s show will be held from November 23rd to the 25th and Rossi will again be behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta WRC, like the one he used last year and that let him beat the World Rally champion Sébastien Loeb in two stages, only to finish second in the final results and 24 seconds behind, in this atypical rally.
Rossi has almost never missed the Monza show over the last years (only in 2010 when he was recovering from shoulder surgery), and in 2005 driving a Subaru Impreza was able to beat the late and never forgotten Colin McRae.
