Valentino Rossi to race at Motegi

During this afternoon’s pre-event press conference at the Motorland Aragon circuit, Valentino Rossi confirmed that he’ll be taking part in the Japanese GP at Motegi in October.
With Yamaha already confirming that Jorge Lorenzo, Ben Spies, Colin Edwards and Cal Crutchlow are going to Motegi, and that Aspar Martinez is taking all three of his teams, it was just a matter of time before someone else would cave in to the mounting pressure (read Carmelo Ezpeleta, money and sponsors) and that is Rossi, despite him being one of the behind-the-scenes ringleaders (together with rival Jorge Lorenzo) in trying to organize a boycott of the race.

Rossi said, “I will go to Japan for the race.
All the tests are negative.
It looks quite safe so yes, I will go to race at Motegi.
” One of the last holdouts on Motegi is still Casey Stoner.
The Repsol Honda rider currently leading the championship, declared today that he’s still unsure about Motegi, but continues to say that he is more open to the idea after receiving further information.
