“Ukraine Downs Two Russian Drones”

The Ukrainian military announced on Monday that they had successfully intercepted and shot down two of three Shahed drones, emanated from Russia, during the night. However, the General Staff did not divulge further details regarding the incident on their Facebook report, leaving the fate of the third drone uncertain.
The night of the previous Sunday saw a period of relative tranquility for Ukraine, following a spate of attacks on their energy infrastructure. These attacks had been dramatically escalated by Russia just over a week prior.
On the 22nd of March, Russian troops conducted their most severe strike on grid infrastructure since the inception of the invasion two years ago. This aggressive action induced substantial damage and led to widespread power outages. Throughout the past week, Ukraine’s thermal and hydropower facilities remained under persistent attack. – Reuters
