Two males in their thirties have been taken into custody and subsequently charged following a €2.1 million bust of herbal cannabis in Dublin this past Friday. Their expected appearance is slated for later today at the Criminal Courts of Justice (CCJ).
This successful operation is credited to officers from the Garda National Drugs and Organise Crime Bureau and the Revenue Customs Service, who managed to intercept the shipment on Friday. The Revenue agency has informed that the 105kg of cannabis was located during a strategic, intelligence-driven operation.
Underscoring the severity of the situation is the estimate of the cannabis worth, amounting to €2.1 million. The men were apprehended on the grounds of suspected drug trafficking crimes, with their detention taking place in a Garda station located in the western part of Dublin.
