Prominent television doctor and journalist, Michael Mosley, has mysteriously disappeared while vacationing in Greece, according to his representative. A search and rescue mission are currently ongoing in Symi, a part of the Dodecanese Islands, for the missing individual well-known for his roles on The One Show on the BBC and This Morning on ITV.
In addition to these, Mosley has also led various documentaries. According to a local social media group, Mosley left St Nicholas beach for a stroll around 1:30 pm Greece time on Wednesday and hadn’t returned till Thursday morning. A spokesperson from the UK foreign office indicated they are aiding the kin of the missing British individual in Greece and have been in touch with local officials.
Beyond his television career, Mosley pens columns for the Daily Mail and has produced numerous films on health and fitness. The veteran 67-year-old media figure executed the Channel 4 series titled Michael Mosley: Who Made Britain Fat? and was also involved in the BBC series Trust Me, I’m A Doctor, earning him substantial recognition.
Uniquely, he cohabited with tapeworms in his intestines for a six week period for a documentary titled Infested! Living With Parasites broadcasted on BBC Four. Mosley earned an Emmy nomination for the science documentary called The Human Face on the BBC, hosted by John Cleese, and featuring well-known faces such as Elizabeth Hurley, Pierce Brosnan, and David Attenborough.
Off screen, Mosley is a proponent of intermittent fasting, advocating for the 5:2 diet and The Fast 800 diet. He shares four children with his wife Clare Bailey Mosley, a fellow doctor, author, and health columnist, who penned the cookery book Fast 800 Easy. The couple, who have jointly held theatre show tours, recently were present at the Hay Festival, during which Mosley hosted a special edition of his Radio 4 series and podcast called Just One Thing.
