Post-final, an thrilled Turner remarked: “It was a unique experience to share the victory, and I must admit I do have a soft spot for the 50 free. It’s always a pleasure to participate, and this race was not any different”.
On her win, Brady expressed, “Seeing my name displayed there was quite startling. I was anxious prior to the race but I’m incredibly chuffed with my performance.”
Róisín Ní Riain, another member of the team, took eighth place in the S13 50m freestyle final, scoring a time of 28.75. She is set to participate in the 400m freestyle on Friday.
