Announcing his alliance with Bayern in March of the previous year after leaving Chelsea, Tuchel however, failed to safeguard his squad’s longstanding domestic supremacy, which was taken over by the rejuvenated Bayer Leverkusen. The club was also ousted from the semi-finals of the Uefa Champions League earlier this month by Real Madrid.
