Rules for travelling to amber list country including Spain

Prime Minister, Boris Johnson said people should have extreme conditions to travel to amber list countries.

Spain still on the UK’s amber list country. It means Britons who come back from Spain should quarantine. On Monday, May 24, Spain reopened the country for British tourist. Britons can visit Spain without the testing necessary for arrival.

Anne-Marie Trevelyan, a business minister, mentioned that scientist thinks this action is way too unsafe for non-urgent reasons, such as holidays. On the other hand, the country’s tourism minister revealed that the UK will add Spain to the green list.

So Britons, these are the rules if you want to travel to an amber list country. Prime Minister, Boris Johnson said people should have extreme conditions to travel to amber list countries. Spain is one of them. Those who return from those countries should quarantine for 10 days at home, get pre-departure, and two-post arrival tests.

Don’t forget to bring and wear your masks in public spaces in Spain, both indoors and outdoors. Some people excluded from this rule, such as children and people who play sports. Spain ministers also hinted this rule will be released completely soon.

Curfew and social distancing in amber list country

Most of Spain lifted the curfew, but Valencia and Navarre still have it from 11 pm to 6 am. Even though the curfew lifted, don’t forget to keep 1.5 metres away from others in public. Then follow the same hygiene management as in the UK.

Quarantine if you travel ?

Well, Spain officially elevated restrictions for UK travellers from Monday. It means Spain is no longer need to get a PCR Covid-19 test. However, Britons who returns from Spain or other countries must isolate under UK rules.
