Dear Sir,
Upon reviewing the newly updated routes and schedules for the Aircoach, set to implement this week, it was a pleasant surprise to find that the service that operates bi-hourly from Greystones to Dublin Airport is being amended to a per hour service. My delight, however, was quickly dampened by the realisation that the journey time of this new route is indicated to stretch to two hours and fifty minutes. This is in comparison to the current coach transit time of only one hour and forty minutes, which itself feels lengthy compared to the short 45-minute car ride.
To give it some context, by the time I eventually reach the airport, my subsequent journey to Murcia in Spain, a distance of 1,752 km, clocks in at the same two hours and fifty minutes. This gives the impression of taking one stride ahead, only to retreat two steps backward!
Sincerely,
Rory Gleeson,
Greystones,
Co Wicklow.
