Torque-Sport: Yamaha MT-01 SP 2009

In 2004 the Yamaha MT-01 created a new market with the TorqueSport motorcycle, characterised by a large twin cylinder engine and huge torque pulling power, with a sports style ride.
In 2009, Yamaha is introducing the MT-01 SP in a special edition, with a few updates to style and technology.
New suspension is set to further increase the sports riding style, with a new Ohlins 43 mm fork, designed to support the high performance of the MT-01 SP.

Rear Ohlins suspension will adopt a separate fuel tank, to improve feeling and handling.
Tyres are Pirelli Diablo Rosso, measuring 120/70-17 at the front and 190/50-17 on the rear.
The tyres, along with alluminium chassis, guarantee good road grip and a precise handling on wet tracks.
The handle bar is also new, now thicker at a diameter of 28.
5 mm.
The colours will include twin red and white, with a two toned seat.
Other features of the look include gold wheels, and chrome features.
News on imports, sales and world wide availability are yet to come through, as we wait for some more official news on the release.
