The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup of 2024 is commencing in the UAE this week. Initially planned for Bangladesh, the location had to be changed due to political upheaval. Disappointingly, Ireland will not be participating among the ten nations, despite leading in their group during the qualifiers. After suffering a match loss to Scotland, the Scots advanced to their maiden finals tournament. – 3rd to 20th of October, Sky Sports.

Football
Despite enduring a lacklustre league season, Bohemians have an opportunity to alter their fortunes with an important match this week. They are scheduled to play against Derry City on Friday in the FAI Cup semi-final at Dalymount Park. Although they lost decisively in the previous year’s final, Bohemians haven’t won the cup since 2008, when they triumphed over Derry following a penalty shootout and extra-time. Here’s the schedule outlined for various sports events:

First, on Virgin Media Two and TNT Sports 3, there’s the Champions League game featuring Stuttgart v Sparta Prague starting at 5.45pm. Simultaneously, Salzburg plays Brest on Virgin Media More. The Championship event between Norwich and Leeds will start at 7.45pm on Sky Sports+. The latter channel is slated to broadcast the match pitting Lille against Real Madrid at 8pm. At 7.45pm, Preston NE will be playing Watford on Sky Sports Football. Finally, on Thursday, October 3rd, Sky Sports Cricket presents the Women’s T20 World Cup with Bangladesh playing Scotland at 11am and Pakistan contending with Sri Lanka at 3pm. Golf enthusiasts can tune into Sky Sports Golf from midday to 5pm for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, and continue with Sanderson Farms Championship from 5pm till midnight. Football fans are not forgotten with the Europa League match between Lazio and Nice shown at 5.45pm on Premier Sports 2.

Football is on the schedule with the Europa League bringing Tottenham against Ferencváros on Premier Sports 1 and TNT Sports 2 at 5.45pm. The final Conference league, Chelsea v Gent, can be viewed on TNT Sports 2 at 8pm.

Coming Friday, the 4th of October, we have some American sport action as Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on Atlanta Falcons at 1:15am on Sky Sports NFL. Golf lovers can catch the Aramco Team Series from 6am to 10am on Sky Sports Golf. Women’s T20 Cricket Championship will begin at 11am featuring South Africa v West Indies, followed by India v New Zealand at 3pm, also on Sky Sports Cricket.

Sky Sports Golf will continue to air the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship from noon until 5pm, and from 5pm to 12:30am, they’ll feature the Sanderson Farms Championship. TNT Sports 2 will pick up cricket coverage from noon with the 2nd ODI Ireland v South Africa match. The Louis Vuitton Cup sailing event is on TNT Sports 1 from 1pm to 3pm.

The URC rugby game between Scarlets and Connacht starts at 7:35pm on TG4 and Premier Sports 1. Cardiff takes on Glasgow in a URC match at the same time on Premier Sports 2. Bundesliga football is up next as Augsburg squares off against Borussia M’gladbach on Sky Sports Mix at 7.30pm. The FAI Cup Semi-final will be aired on RTÉ 2 featuring Bohemians v Derry City at 7.45pm, while the English Premiership rugby match of Northampton v Harlequins is up on TNT Sports 1 at 7.45pm. The last football game of the night sees Sunderland face Leeds United at 8pm on Sky Sports Football.

On Saturday, the 5th of October, various sports events were scheduled to broadcast on different channels. Sky Sports Golf brought the Aramco Team Series from 7am to 10am, followed by the Women’s T20 WC cricket match between Australia and Sri Lanka at 11am on Sky Sports Cricket. This was followed by the Bangladesh versus England match at 3pm.

Sky Sports Golf brought the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship from noon till 5pm. At 12.30pm, TNT Sports 1 showcased the Premier League football between Crystal Palace and Liverpool, while Sky Sports Football had the Championship match with Burnley against Preston NE. Between 1pm and 3pm, sailing enthusiasts could tune in to the Louis Vuitton Cup on TNT Sports 2. Fans of racing could switch between UTV or Virgin Media Two to catch action from Ascot, Newmarket and Redcar between 1pm to 4pm.

Premier Sports 2 showed a La Liga football match between Espanyol and Mallorca at 1pm, while West Ham Utd played against Ipswich Town at 3pm on Premier Sports 1. Rugby action commenced at 3pm with the Bulls taking on Ulster on Premier Sports, and Bath facing Bristol at 3.05pm on TNT Sports 1.

Sky Sports Premier League broadcasted the Everton versus Newcastle Utd match at 5.30pm. People keen on boxing could enjoy the match between Nick Ball and Ronny Rios on TNT Sports 2 from 7pm.
