“Three Must-Watch Sports Events This Week”

The Irish Guineas Festival, a three-day event, will take place at The Curragh this weekend, being broadcasted on RTÉ & ITV. The festivities will begin with the Group One one-mile Irish 2000 Guineas happening on Saturday, followed by the Irish 1000 Guineas race scheduled for Sunday.

The five-time winners, Toulouse, will also be facing off four-time champions, Leinster, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London this weekend in the Champions Cup. The match will be aired on ITV, RTÉ, and TNT Sports. Interestingly, it is their first time competing against each other in the tournament’s final game, despite their collective participation in 14 European Cup finals.

On Sunday, Sky Sports will broadcast the highly anticipated English Championship play-off decider, famously regarded as the wealthiest game globally. This game will finalise the third club to compete in the upcoming English Premier League season. The winner will not only secure a promotion but also access potentially significant financial benefits from sponsorships and lucrative TV deals.

Besides, a variety of sports events will be taking place next week from Monday (20th May), such as the Eurosport broadcast of the Tour of Limburg and Serie A football matches, including Salernitana vs. Hellas Verona and Bologna vs. Juventus in CYCLING – and in SOCCER through TNT Sports 1. The GAA Leinster SFC Final will feature Longford vs Dublin and the Munster MHC Final – Clare vs Tipperary, both on TG4. Looking ahead to midweek, the 16th and 17th stages of the Giro d’Italia will be broadcasted on Eurosport 1 from Tuesday (21st May) to Wednesday (22nd May). The Sky Sports Cricket channel will also feature the 1st T20 match between England and Pakistan starting at 6pm on Wednesday.

The action continues on Thursday, May 23rd, with the Giro d’Italia Stage 18 on Eurosport 1 from 11.30am to 4.45pm. Soudal Open is being broadcasted on Sky Sports Golf from noon to 5pm. Meanwhile, the 1st ODI Women’s cricket match between England and Pakistan will be on Sky Sports Cricket from 12.30pm. The Men’s Pro League hockey continues on TNT Sports 2, where Argentina and Ireland will face off at 3.30pm.

In the evening, London Premier League darts will be aired on Sky Sports Action from 7pm to 10pm. The Airtricity League Premier Division soccer match will see Waterford playing against Drogheda, and it can be viewed at 7.45pm on Virgin Media Two. Also, expect the 1st T20 cricket match between West Indies and South Africa from 7.45pm on TNT Sports 1.

At 7.30pm, the Munster U20 Hurling Final stages Tipperary vs Cork and this is followed by the deferred Connacht Minor Football Final featuring Mayo vs Roscommon, all via TG4. Lastly, TNT Sports 1 is airing the Challenge Cup Final rugby match between Gloucester and Sharks at 8pm.”

At 8pm, Sky Sports Mix, Arena, and Actions, are all showing Super League Rugby League matches. For cricket enthusiasts, there’s the 2nd T20 between England and Pakistan on Sky Sports Cricket from 2pm. Rugby fans can watch the Champions Cup Final between Leinster and Toulouse on either RTÉ 2, ITV4 or TNT Sports 1 starting at 2.45pm.

GAA followers will have a great afternoon with the All-Ireland U20B Hurling Final between Down and Roscommon on TG4 YouTube at 3pm. Football fans, as a grand finale, can watch the FA Cup Final between Manchester City and Manchester Utd on BBC 1, UTV, or Premier Sports 1 at 3pm.
