Three males in their thirties have been apprehended following the unearthing of a cannabis operation valued at roughly €700,000 in the county of Roscommon. The detection occurred during a search conducted at a Loughglynn property around half past three on Tuesday, where Gardaí discovered an extensive cultivation of cannabis. The seized cannabis plants and herbs will undergo scientific analysis by Forensic Science Ireland. The suspects were arrested on site and are being held under the provisions of the 1996 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, at various Garda stations in the county of Roscommon. This search operation, carried out by the Gardaí attached to the Mayo Roscommon Longford Divisional Drugs Unit, is part of an ongoing investigation into presumed cannabis cultivation houses.
