“Three Detained After Dublin Drug Seizures”

Following two individual drug busts in Dublin estimated to be worth €610,000 in all, two adult men and a young male have been taken into custody. These seizures transpired on Monday and were the result of intelligence-based operations assisted by the Revenue’s customs service and the Organised Crime and Drugs division of the Garda National.

Officers from the Drugs unit of Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) north central division and the K District were also involved. Combined consignments comprising roughly 30kg of herbal cannabis were confiscated by Revenue officials in the aftermath of these operations.

The Dublin Garda took into custody a man in his 30s in relation to the confiscation of 27kg of cannabis herb. He is presently held at a Garda station in Dublin. In a separate operation, a young male and a man aged 24 were arrested in relation to the confiscation of 3.5kg of cannabis herb. They are currently held at a Garda station in north Dublin.

A representative from Garda announced that investigations are still in progress.
