Initially crafted from silk and later from cotton, this fabric exhibits an open weave pattern. A warp made up of fine, twice spun threads is interlaced with a weft, forming evenly spaced lines. This tangible cohesion is instrumental in patching up open wounds, fostering the healing process. The origin of its moniker can be traced back to the antediluvian city, Ghazza.
