Dear Sir, – I had the pleasure of perusing an article written by Molly Furey on the subject of aging, titled “I regret revisiting my old school – now, aged 25, I feel unduly elderly” (Life, March 6th). Her eloquent writing and keen observations were appreciated. However, I must make a point here without intending to stereotype the Irish Times reader – the broad majority of those engaging with this article might have gone well past their 25th year, and possibly the next 25 as well. Empathising with someone yearning for their early twenties becomes rather challenging when one finds the idea of being in their early fifties quite appealing! – Yours, truly,
AIDAN BOYLE,
