The Targa Florio legend returns to roar in Sicily

Only a couple of days are left before the 92nd Targa Florio Rally which, with a different formula, follows the tradition of a challenge that has left its mark in the history of motoring.
For fans the greatest years were those of the romantic epoch when, in Sicily, the greatest drivers would confront each other at the wheels of the most beautiful racing cars.

The turbulant emotions of those years have a plce in the heart of any sportsman, gaining a place in eternity.
Starting in 1906 after a bet from Vincenzo Florio, son of Ignatius and decendant of one of the wealthiest Sicilian families, the Targa Florio is the oldest car race on the road.
It soon distinguished itself for its selection and the notable work required of the racers, who with an adventurous spirit, soon gave themselves to the challenge.
It has been one of the hardest and most fascinating competitions of all time.
Drivers who have raced in both the 1000 miles and the Targa Florio confirm that winning in Brescia requires physique and the right car, while winning in Sicily you also need a heavy foot.
