Dear Editor,
Those sounding the alarm advising the West not to infringe upon Vladimir Putin’s newest boundary must elaborate on why things are different now. Putin, despite their predictions, never deployed nuclear arms when the West furnished Ukraine with F-16 aircraft, anti-tank armaments, modern tanks, advanced rockets such as Himars, ATACMS (Army Tactical Missile Systems) or Patriot missiles. These deliverables had all been targeted by stern admonitions from the Russian government.
More recently, Ukraine orchestrated a successful distraction in Kursk and obliterated a weapons supply depot located in Tver region, both of which could have caused immense civilian casualties within Ukraine.
It’s been clear for a substantial length of time that Putin is merely posturing and it is essential that the West does not pander to this inferior military power, as history demonstrates that such concessions only serve to incite further atrocities.
Yours Sincerely,
Matthew Glover
