The teenage girl who tragically lost her life in a car accident during the recent bank holiday weekend in County Wicklow has been identified as local resident, Molly Dempsey. Molly, who was only 15, was a passenger in the vehicle that crashed early Sunday morning at around 5 a.m. in Slaney Park, Baltinglass. No other severe injuries were reported in the incident, according to the Gardaí.

The teenage male driver of the car has been apprehended on suspicion of violating the Road Traffic Act and was held under the authority of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, before being subsequently released.
