The Gardaí are requesting for any eyewitnesses to come forward after a theft incident took place on N7

The Garda is urgently seeking witnesses following a theft that occurred on the N7 in Kildare on a Saturday afternoon. The event unfolded on the southbound lanes near Kill in County Kildare, around 2pm. A female motorist had pulled onto the hard shoulder between Junction 7 and Junction 8 when another car pulled up ahead of her. A man emerged from this car and after a brief confrontation, managed to pilfer a few personal belongings from the woman’s vehicle before making his escape. The Garda reported that the woman did not suffer any significant injuries from the incident.

At present, no suspect has been apprehended and investigations are continuing. In a related story, on my fourth attempt to report in Rwanda, I was denied boarding the plane. Nicola Coughlan pointed out how her family could have remarked that things weren’t going well, but they refrained.

It’s tragic to note that a seven-year-old boy recently drowned in a hotel swimming pool in Co Clare.

The authorities are requesting anyone who might have witnessed the robbery to reach out to them. The Garda would particularly like to hear from motorists who were on the N7 between 1.45pm and 2.15pm, specifically between Junction 7 (Kill) and Junction 8 (Johnstown). Those with any camera footage from dash cams are being asked to make it available to the Garda.

Anyone with any information that might relate to this case should get in touch with Naas Garda Station on 045 884300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
