The FA has announced that the match between England and Ireland will take place at the Carrow Road stadium in Norwich City on Friday July 12th. The venue’s limited capacity of 27,244 is a noticeable decrease from the 90,000 space available at the Wembley Stadium, where England’s opening Euro 2025 qualifier against Sweden is to be held on April 5th. As per Uefa’s regulations, a mere 1,362 tickets, equivalent to five per cent of the Carrow Road capacity, might be allocated for the FAI.
The current European champions have another home Nations League match against France, slated for May 31st at Newcastle United’s St James’ Park, which can seat 52,000 spectators. Ireland will also be hosting England on April 9th at the Aviva Stadium and Sweden at Lansdowne Road on May 31st. The match against France on July 16th is set to take place at the 10,000 capacity Tallaght stadium. The French city of Metz will be the location for the initial match of Eileen Gleeson’s team in their Nations League/Euro qualification campaign on April 5th. Ticket sales for the Carrow Road match have not yet started.
