The comedic performer and thespian Bob Newhart, aged 94, has passed away

Renowned American actor and comedian, Bob Newhart, passed away at 94, following multiple brief illnesses, as revealed by his spokesperson, Jerry Digney. The former accountant and celebrated entertainer breathed his last in the comfort of his Los Angeles home, one year after the death of his wife, Virginia “Ginnie” Newhart, to whom he was married for six decades.

Newhart was born in 1929 in Illinois and experienced his rise to fame as a stand-up comedian before making his mark in the world of television sitcoms. He starred in ‘The Bob Newhart Show’ and made frequent guest appearances on the popular sitcom ‘The Big Bang Theory’. His performance as Arthur Jeffries, also known as Professor Proton, on the show earned him an Emmy award in 2013.

Remembering other famous roles, Danny Dyer was equally adept at portraying a wartime Budapest flautist, Percy Bysshe Shelley, or even Jesus Christ. There was indeed something special about him.

In the city of Coolock, the fight against discrimination has been long and tough, and it would need several more years to completely eradicate the deep-rooted issue.

Newhart is mourned by his four children: Jennifer, Courtney, Timothy, and Robert, along with several grandchildren, as reported by his publicist.
