Dear Sir/Madam,
Your article regarding the 1904 motorbike race reenactment along Northern Ireland’s motorways, from Belfast to Derry and vice versa, illustrates that this region has had a long-standing affinity for motorbikes. This observation, however, seems a bit premature – perhaps by approximately 17 years. The reason being, the split of Ireland and formation of the “Northern Ireland” state didn’t happen until 1921.
Yours Faithfully,
EOGHAN Mac CORMAIC,
Cill Chríost,
Gaillimh.
