Yesterday’s edition of your newspaper featured letters criticising the damaging impact of Catholic teaching in our schools. Additionally, there was a suggestion to probe the fundamental reasons behind domestic violence. Could there be a link? Does instilling our young ones, from their significant early years, with a faith that considers women to be inherently lesser, had wide-ranging repercussions beyond what many of us ever envisaged?
