Dear Editor,
I am writing in response to Hugh McDonnell’s proposal (as mentioned in the letters section on October 29th) that marathon running could be utilized as a criminal sanction. This idea, to me, verges on the “unmerciful and extraordinary”.
Yet, I do ponder if making delinquents listen to marathon enthusiasts share their experiences could be considered a feasible sentence. Or could that potentially be even more severe?
With kind regards,
