Ten Hag’s Manchester United Job Secure

Erik ten Hag, the Manchester United coach, is set to continue his role at least until the football season ends, having won the admiration of Sir Jim Ratcliffe so far. The club’s chances of clinching a trophy this season hung on the FA Cup, and Ten Hag didn’t disappoint, leading his team to a 4-3 win against Liverpool in the quarter-finals on Sunday, which was crucial given the pressure he was under.

This victory ensures their participation in the tournament at least till the semi-finals, with the possibility of making it to the cup final once again, should they triumph over Coventry at Wembley. Therefore, Ratcliffe and his right-hand man, Sir Dave Brailsford, who manage the football operations at the club, believe that Ten Hag’s position should not be reviewed until the season concludes.

They are also involved in dialogues with Ten Hag about future transfers and squad alterations for the summer, as they aim to provide him with as much contribution as possible. Even though Ten Hag has another year in his contract after the current football season, Ratcliffe acknowledges that the task to find a substitute, if required, will be daunting.

While it is theorised that England manager, Gareth Southgate is a possible replacement, Ratcliffe and Brailsford view him as just one of the many potential candidates admired within the football environment.
