“Teen Dies in Kilkenny Car-E-Scooter Collision”

A tragic incident in Kilkenny has led to the death of a teenager after an electronic scooter and a car collided. The accident happened just after 6pm on Saturday on Tullaroan Road, Bonnettstown, Kilkenny, involving a 14-year-old who was riding the e-scooter. Immediately after the incident, emergency teams including the guard were dispatched to the scene and the young casualty was transported to St. Luke’s General Hospital located in close proximity. However, he sadly lost his life early the following morning.

Miraculously, the car operator remained unharmed. A post mortem is expected to be conducted in the imminent days to determine the precise cause of death. The site of the accident was sealed off for the night to allow Garda forensic teams to carry out a technical inspection, which has been completed and the road is now accessible to vehicles again.

Local authorities in Kilkenny are appealing for any witnesses who were present around the place of the mishap between 6pm and 7pm on Saturday or any motorists who might have captured the incident on dashcam, to get in touch.
