“Teen Critical, Four Hospitalised After Crash”

A road accident in Mayo on early Monday morning has critically injured a teenager and hospitalised four others. The incident, involving a single vehicle, reportedly happened near Swinford on the N5 at Deerpark a few moments before 4 am. The vehicle’s occupants, all male teenagers, were rushed to Mayo University Hospital by ambulance. It has been understood that one of the teenagers’ condition is critical.

The road has been temporarily closed, and local diversions are being implemented. Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are investigating the scene later today.
