“Teen Charged for Galway Priest Stabbing”

A teenage boy, aged 16, is set to face charges in court stemming from the incident of a priest being knifed at the Renmore Barracks in County Galway. The young lad is formally accused and is anticipated to proceed in front of Galway District Court at 2pm in the afternoon this Saturday.

The assault occurred shortly prior to 11pm on Thursday night, resulting in Defence Forces chaplain, Father Paul F Murphy, aged 52, necessitating hospital treatment for grievous, albeit not life-threatening wounds.
