“Take That at Malahide: Accessibility, Tickets, Playlist”

The renowned pop band, Take That, with Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald at the helm, will be performing at Malahide Castle in Dublin once again on 21st June, after spectacular shows earlier this year at the 3Arena. This is all part of their 29-show, 15-city tour where they celebrate their latest album, This Life. Assisting them on stage will be Olly Murs – a former X Factor contestant plus St Lundi- a singer-songwriter from Hayling Island.

Celebrated for their grand shows, Take That holds the record for performing 34 separate headline shows at The O2 in London, the most by any band. These three original members can take credit for some of the most recognised pop tracks from the last three decades. Even after all this time, their energy on stage remains untarnished, even in the absence of Robbie Williams.

For Gary Barlow and the rest’s return to Dublin, here’s some handy information.

When and Where?
The gig takes place at Malahide Castle on 21st June 2024.

Arrival time?
The gates will open at 4 in the afternoon, with the show slated to begin at 5pm.

Support Acts?
The former X Factor finalist Olly Murs and St Lundi from Hayling Island will be joining them as support.

Transportation?
The grand entrance is approximately a 15-minute walk via Hogan’s Gate from the Malahide Dart station, which is suggested due to predictable traffic congestion and problems with parking. Tow trucks and clampers will be operating, thus make sure a return travel plan has been set up in advance.

Dart, trains, and buses will be in service to and from the station. Special bus services to Custom House Quay, Dublin 1 will be available after the event from the Dublin Road- single or round trips. More details can be found on www.marathoncoaches.ie.

A single-trip bus service to Dublin city centre will also be available via the Concert Express. They also offer return trips to Ratoath, including stops in Ashbourne and Swords. You can find more information on www.ConcertExpress.ie.

Following their energised performance in Dublin, with Gary Barlow reeling from the stair-heavy setup, Take That continues to reignite the past with their impressive concerts. Concert attendees seeking parking facilities for the Malahide Castle Concerts are urged to arrange this beforehand to avoid any disappointment. The Evntz app is recommended for quick and easy booking, and can be easily downloaded from www.Evntz.ie or via a QR code. Please note that any unlawful parking in surrounding areas or residential estates is liable to clamping or towing.

Those arriving from the south are advised to use the M50, exiting at junction three which is denoted by signs for M1 Belfast/Airport, before proceeding to the R139. Further instructions include taking the second exit at the roundabout and turning left onto Malahide Road/R107, subsequently turning right onto Back Road. Car parks will be visible to the left.

For those approaching from the north, use the M1 and exit at junction four (signs for R132 Swords/Malahide/Donabate). Follow the R132, sticking to the right, and continue onto Swords Road/R106, by taking a slight left. Lastly, turn right onto Dublin Road/R107, continue for a short distance then turn left onto Back Road, where signs will guide you to the car parks on your left.

So, what’s in store for the concertgoers? Drawing on their recent Bristol gig, fans can look forward to a medley of tracks, including ‘Keep Your Head Up’, ‘Giants’ and ‘Days I Hate Myself’, among others. Not forgetting the beloved classics like ‘A Million Love Songs’, ‘Pray’, and ‘Shine’, alongside Gary Barlow’s solos such as ‘Forever Love’, Mark Owen’s ‘Clementine’ and Howard Donald’s ‘Speak Without Words’. The set also includes favourites like ‘The Flood’, ‘Get Ready for It’, and ‘Greatest Day’.

Show titles include “Relight My Fire (A reprise of Dan Hartman’s original), “One More Word”, “Hold Up a Light”, “Back for Good”, “Never Forget” and “Rule the World.” Want to join? There’s still some remaining slots you can purchase via Ticketmaster.ie, but make sure you buy them from licensed vendors only.

Wondering about the security protocol? If you’re below 16, make sure to have an accompanying adult above 25. Make sure to carry your passport, driving licence or Garda age card as a valid proof of your age.

For entrance checks, give yourself plenty of time as even bags might be inspected. Avoid bringing bags bigger than A4 as they are not allowed. All items stored in bags might be subjected to search, hence going bagless can make the entry process quicker. Unfortunately, there are no storage spaces or cloakrooms available and certain items are prohibited inside including but not limited to umbrellas, alcohol, garden furniture, selfie sticks, flares, glasses or cans.

A no alcohol regulation will be strictly implemented across all transport modes including private buses heading to the venue. Individuals perceived to be affected by alcohol or drugs can be denied entry by the promoters and the An Garda Síochána.

The event will incorporate strobe lighting, lasers and pyrotechnics. You’re welcome to capture moments using your small camera or smartphone. However, any professional cameras with detachable lens or other recording devices are strictly not allowed.

In terms of the weather, unfortunately Friday afternoon and evening might be damp due to predicted rainfall. So, do dress appropriately.
